Overview/Description
As more organizations move toward team-based structures, the role of the team leader becomes critical, if a team is to reach its full potential for improving quality, productivity, flexibility, and innovation. To create and maximize participation and collaboration, a team leader must learn to build team identity, commitment and trust, both in the leader and in team members. The team leader must learn to skillfully manage group discussion, problem solving and decision making so that these activities yield good results that are supported by the whole team.

Target Audience
Team leaders, project managers, supervisors, and managers with less than 2 years experience in a team building role.
